A Chronicle of Tales Past

These pages have been set aside to record and chronicle tales of the past that returning adventurers and companies have recounted to the Adventurer's Guild. These are recorded as truthful accounts of the land and inhabitants that were encountered and maybe again...

Vol. 1/ Quest 1: Within the Woods

The Steward of Gratthaven hurriedly picked through some paperwork on the table, retrieved a particular parchment, cleared his throat and began to read in an officious tone,

“IB/ Estate Edict VII, Dorren Principality

25th Augramber.

The farmlands to the east of the town have been harried of late by a band of marauders who are affecting the estate’s ability to bring in harvest. The entrance to this marauders den must be located so retribution can be delivered upon them.

Remuneration and compensation for successful completion of this matter are detailed further in this official document."

“That is the task at hand” he stated, “and the Estate would see it done”, as he deftly rolled the parchment up, placed it in Dagador's hand and ushered him and his companions out through a side arch so as to deal with the next applicant waiting in line.

At the eastern edge of the township, the dark woods reared up in stark contrast to the last of the hand-worked lands upon whose threshold Dagador's band of adventurers now stood.

Before them was a dense thicket of impassable scrub and bush that nothing, least of all a marauding warband, could move through. Presented with this obstacle he started his Ranger, Orndal de Gresty, to begin skirting around the edge of the wood in search of signs of disturbance or activity, with the rest of the company following in kind. Before long Orndal called out and ushered Dagodar towards the area that was now pre-occupying the Ranger's search. He'd discovered a coarse gap in the thicket, hacked roughly through and beyond, leading deeper within the woods.

This would be the place Dagodar would begin their search…
